Monica Caldeira
Empathy and theory of mind in Asperger’s Disorder
Monday October 27
12:00 until 1:00
Elborn College 1440
Theory of Mind interventions have addressed such topics as improving the child’s ability to understand emotions, recognizing facial expressions, and understanding others’ beliefs, also often addressed in social skill interventions. However, it is unclear how social skill interventions can address these topics as children with Autism and Asperger’s Disorder struggle to identify their own emotions, facial expressions and beliefs. Ms. Caldeira will discuss her research on this issue.
Bring your lunch; juice, water, and pop will be provided.
