Examining the structural roots of inequality through curriculum resources:
Overview of the Tools for Change Educator’s Website

Thursday, March 12
 4-5:30pm
Room 1118
Faculty of Education Building

The Tools for Change Educator’s Website is a comprehensive listing of resources that promote healthy, equal relationships, reviewed and critiqued using a strengths-based model. Each resource is matched to grade levels (3 -9) and the Ontario curriculum. A pedagogical review helps educators choose resources for their own teaching style. In developing criteria for reviewing the resources on the site, we drew from two bodies of theory; Cultural Relational Theory and Intersectional Theory. In her presentation, Barb MacQuarrie will explain the principles of each and explain how they relate to the work of promoting healthy equal relationships.   www.toolsforchange.ca
