The Centre for Research & Education on Violence against Women and Children is hosting a Brown Bag forum. These forums provide opportunities for community and academic researchers and practitioners to share their projects, to discuss relevant issues that are exciting and challenging, expected and unexpected, and to engage in lively dialogue.

To ensure healthy integration of immigrant women and their families, we need to identify and recognize trauma, pre-migration experiences, and the impact of post-migration triggers.

In this interactive workshop, Najla Wassie, will present the framework and the interventions being used in the Netherlands. Her work spans more than 30 years in various capacities in integration and settlement of refugee women and their families in places such as Former Yugoslavia, Ethiopia, and The Netherlands.

Coffee and cookies will be provided.
