The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council has recently announced its third round of the Knowledge Synthesis Grants competition. The question to be addressed in this competition round is: How can emerging technologies be leveraged to benefit Canadians?
Potential themes to explore include:
- Access, ethics and governance
- Socio-economic impacts
- Time, place and space
- Impacts on research, research-creation and innovation
SSHRC anticipates offering 15 awards valued at up to $25,000 each. The synthesis reports will be due no later than October 14, 2016. Successful applicants will be expected to attend two knowledge mobilization workshops in Ottawa, the first in April 2016 and the second in November 2016 as part of the Imagining Canada’s Future Fall Forum, to discuss the knowledge syntheses.
Internal deadline: January 6, 2016. Please note that a ROLA submission will be required.
