CCV Workshop November 25

November 12, 2015

In anticipation of the Insight Development Grant 2016 competition – RD&S will be running a CCV workshop for any SSHRC researchers at Western who require assistance with the Common CV.  Please note: since SSHRC has not yet updated the Insight Development Grant competition information for 2016, this session will provide an overview of the Common CV and how it is linked to the Research Portal for applicants, co-applicants and collaborators.

The CCV session at Western will be held:

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

10:00 -11:30 am

AHB 2R23 (Arts & Humanities building)

To RSVP for the CCV session, please email with the subject line “RSVP for CCV workshop” and include your name and faculty/dept.  The sessions will be tailored to the SSHRC Insight Development Grant, but all faculties/departments are welcome.

If you plan to apply for the Insight Development Grant this Winter 2016 and you do not yet have a CCV; please start the process (building the CCV) as soon as possible.  Beginning a CCV from scratch is a very significant time commitment and involves a large amount of manual data entry (i.e. weeks will be required, not days, in advance of the Insight Development Grant deadline).  The CCV is available

IMPORTANT information about this year’s SSHRC Insight Development Grant 2016 competition:

  1. Applicants will be able to create an Insight Development Grant application once SSHRC has launched the application in the Research Portal.
  2. Applications will be submitted solely via the Research Portal
  3. All Insight Development Grant applicants, co-applicants and collaborators need to have a Common CV to submit or participate on an Insight Development Grant for this Winter 2016 (based on Winter 2015 instructions).
